Class 2 were the leaders of our Harvest festival at St. Nunn's Church this year. This year they focused on the hard work of our farming communities. The whole school participated and celebrated with songs for the Harvest. We were thrilled that the church was filled family and friends to join our service.
Thank you for all of your harvest donations.
We were so pleased that so many of our new runners were keen to take part in the first race of the cross country season at Great Trethew. It was, as always, a thoroughly muddy event (which made it so much more fun)! We were so proud of everyone who took part.
The children were all pleased with their results and are looking forward to the next event on 15th November.
20th November 2018
On the 20th of November, Pelynt and Polruan schools came together to learn about keeping safe, healthy and fit in our Health and Wellbeing Day.
This day, organised alongside Arena, promoted healthy eating, mindfullness and awareness of keeping healthy.
Activities included pilates, scanning bar-codes and finding out about hidden sugar, astronaut fitness and cooking healthy foods.
Despite the cold weather, all the children and staff learnt lots and made some new friends from the other school!
16th November 2018
On the 16th of November, Pelynt children (and staff!) came to school in their pyjamas to raise money for Children in Need.
The School Council also held a spotty cake sale after school. We raised a grand total of £187.82! Thank-you to everyone for helping us raise this brilliant amount!
23rd May 2018
On the 23rd of May, the weather was kind and the whole school community enjoyed the summer fayre, hosted this year by Class 3. The money raised will go towards buying brand new PE equipment for the school.
There were a whole host of stalls including, odds and evens, the famous tombola and the ever popular penalty shoot-out.
The children all enjoyed the afternoon and their learning in maths and English was put to good use.
Thanks to Mr Lawrence, Class Three and all the parents and carers for their kind support on the day and for the preparation that made the day such a success.
Keep checking back for the grand total!!!
