About Us

Historically the Pre-School has been running since the 1970s. It was originally run by a group of mums in Pelynt Village Hall and in 2010 were fortunate to be able to move to a purpose built building for the care and education of the young children of Pelynt and surrounding areas. This building is modern, bright and spacious for the children to learn and be creative. In 2017 the Pre-School officially merged with Pelynt Primary Academy.

All our staff shares a wealth of experience and knowledge and are motivated to offer the best environment for your children.

Parents are children’s most important teachers and practitioners work with them. Children learn through play and by becoming involved in activities. Learning occurs in social groups and the setting is a learning community for children and families.

We pride ourselves in being true to our aim of providing a warm, friendly learning environment for children and their families.

We have very close links with the Reception Class and have a good transition set up in the Summer Term for those starting school in September. Our staff work closely with the school's EYFS Lead who regularly visits.

At snack times, we offer a variety of healthy snacks for your children, and encourage healthy lunch boxes. We cater for any special dietary requirements that children and families may have and offer detailed information about the foods we are offering.

Testimonials

"Pelynt Pre-School have worked hard with other professionals to develop a learning environment in which our son can socialise, dance, play and learn despite his physical difficulties. Since being at Pelynt pre-school he has just blossomed. I can thoroughly recommend this family-like environment and all of the friendly and caring staff. “
Richard

“Pelynt pre-school has been & continues to be a fantastic place for my daughter to attend. The set up is small but well equipped and offers a safe place for me to send my daughter. The staff are all very professional & extremely welcoming when I enrolled my daughter. I’ve since joined the committee & have become involved more with this fantastic pre-school. I would highly recommend Pelynt pre-school to anyone who was looking for a placement for their child to feel safe, have fun & grow in confidence just as my child has”.
Jo

“My children have attended Pelynt Pre-School for two years now and we have never experienced anything but friendly professionalism, constructive help and advice, and a great sense of fun and learning. The team have been invaluable in helping achieve goals I have found especially difficult when raising twins. ie Potty training, communication, development and discipline. My children love their time at school, and the progress they are making is a joy to watch. I especially enjoy tracking their achievements through the regular updates made on Tapestry. My children have strong bonds with their teachers and have mad so many friends. I am very happy with Pelynt Pre-School and we will be sad to say goodbye in July!”
